Course Title : Teaching Students with Intellectual,

Sensorial, Behavioral & Physical Disorders

Course Credit : 3 units

Course Pre-Requisite : EdSp 170 & EdSp 171Course Description: This course deals on the discussion of the critical components in teaching students with disabilities. It includes learning the nature, characteristics, causes and the educational considerations in the education of these children.

The teachers’ of today are presumed considerably more responsible in meeting the educational needs of students from diverse background and varied learning needs. Thus, a thorough knowledge in the educative process of these children is fundamental to lessen the challenges posed in teaching. Research outputs and the use of the web are also employed to enrich the students’ learning about students with with special needs.

General Objectives

The students are expected to:

1. gain more knowledge and understanding in teaching students with disabilities

2. develop adequate skills and desirable attitudes necessary in teaching these children.

3. design activities that may benefit the exceptional learners and their families.

4. implement individually appropriate instructional practices for these children

5. utilize research output and internet sources in the educational program for these children
